Watershed Curriculum for Belonging and Stewardship

To address global warming and climate change adequately and with equity, we need to prioritize learning about our interdependence with the local environment. I work on community-based programs to create materials that connect people with their watersheds and conform to the standards used for middle and early high school. For Spring 2026, I am presenting a FREE PILOT CLASS for communities in the Hunt River Watershed. Details and signup information are HERE .

Local ecosystem information and policy is easily available as scientists, historians, artists, and other cultural workers funded by public institutions and non-profits have compiled a wealth of specific local knowledge freely available online.

My graduate work targets community engagement in the process of selecting and editing from these resources to compose middle school / early high school level watershed based curriculum materials.
